Access World News Student Edition is a web-based resource that provides access to news publications from countries worldwide. These sources include the full text of major national and international newspapers, news wires, transcripts, magazines and videos. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is also included.  Access World News is updated daily to keep students informed of current issues and events and includes deep archives that provide background information on important topics, enabling students to track contemporary world issues and study international cultures. The content is relevant for world history, English and science classes, debate teams, speech and persuasive assignments. Several search modes are available including keyword or map-based for easy country studies and comparing/contrasting issues and perspectives from different areas. Students may also search by continent, country, state or an individual title. The interface may be viewed in English or Spanish.

America's Historical Newspapers (1690-2000) provides news articles covering topics including government, politics, social issues, culture, discoveries, inventions and more from hundreds of primary sources that enable students and teachers to explore virtually every topic or aspect of American history and culture between 1690 and 2000. The resource also provides a wealth of information for English/Literature and science classes. America’s Historical Newspapers is aligned to state standards with the ability to locate articles directly related to specific standards.

The resource features cover-to-cover facsimiles from hundreds of U.S. newspapers, including titles from all 50 present states. Students searching by using either the timeline or topic search can easily find news and eyewitness accounts and pro/con articles of events, issues and daily life in the colonies or during the Revolutionary War, westward expansion, the Civil War, Reconstruction, industrialization, the Progressive Era, World War I, the Great Depression, Vietnam War, World War II, Civil Rights Movement, Cold War, Globalization and other time periods. Newspapers of particular historical importance, regional weeklies and big-city dailies are available. Also included are illustrations, cartoons, advertisements, classifieds, birth and marriage announcements, obituaries, stories about historic people and other articles exactly as they appeared in print.

ScienceSource Collection was designed specifically to support today’s science curriculums. It offers easy access to thousands of article digests on life, earth, physical, medical, health and applied sciences that help clarify complex scientific concepts and provide important facts, ideas, results and conclusions from the original articles. The Collection includes encyclopedia entries that provide background information on diseases, the environment, mammals and physics as well as biographies of important scientists.
