Pricing Spreadsheets are coming
We are receiving many requests for database renewal pricing and have secured 2012 pricing from many but not all of our vendors. If you received a pricing spreadsheet last year, you will receive a spreadsheet this year in the next month. We have provided estimates for any databases that we do not have confirmed pricing for. WiLS Membership pricing will be made available in April. Please contact Sara Gold at sgold@wils.wisc.edu for any pricing related questions.
News for Public Libraries
New from Recorded Books for WiLS Member libraries
Zinio for Libraries – Streaming cover-to-cover magazines in MULTI-USE editions. Your library may subscribe to a small multi-access fee platform and pick from over 3600 magazines and specialty issues. Subscribe to a single issue or single subscription to a magazine (i.e. Vogue) and ALL patrons have access simultaneously online inside or outside the library. Most magazines are interactive and all have advance article search and printing functions – as well as fully searchable queries to group needed themes and searches together for easier access. It is really great and a way to offer more magazines and access to the most sought after and specialty magazines. And, Zinio will help grow the breadth of the periodical collection without the physical space taken by print collections. All Zinio subscribed editions are available for all computers and mobile wi-fi enabled devices. And, if a patron wishes to donate a subscription to the library they can and the library gets a credit voucher for additional subscription selections. Free trials are available, contact Sara at sgold@wils.wisc.edu
Rdio for Libraries – Streaming music available to EVERY patron. Upgrade options are available equipping patrons with additional unlimited options for streaming to computers and mobile devices and tablets. This gives you a way to really delight all patrons in a very cost effective and service friendly way. Free trials are available, contact Sara at sgold@wils.wisc.edu
