Are you working on a digital project definition and metadata fields? Whether you are defining your first project or gearing up to run a digital program with multiple projects and collections, this WiLS Hour will help you. The WHO Metadata Guidelines are based on the Dublin Core international standard, and closely follow national usage. By carefully defining your user needs, studying your existing field usage, and reviewing other institutions use of metadata field names, you can set up a metadata map to use again and again. Also discussed collaborative creation and sharing of metadata maps using the Wisconsin Heritage Online wiki.
Mark Beatty and Allen Wenzel will lead a discussion for ILLiad users.

Beginning April 2002, WiLS staff introduced "The WiLS Hour," an opportunity for WiLS staff members to present updates to our members via WisLine Web Placeware. Members (and NEE members) who are interested in the specific topic can register for this free presentation. We will send registrants a specified website and an 800 telephone number for the audio part of the call. Any number of staff can watch the presentation on their desktop and listen in on a conference call at the designated time.
WiLS Hours and Dates
The presentations
will usually be in the morning on the second Thursday of the month, typically
from 10:30-11:30 unless otherwise noted.
