Tuesday, July 1, 2008, 9am-4pm
at Frank L. Weyenberg Library of Mequon-Thiensville
About the program:
Change is a "river that runs through" everything in the library world. Strategies for change can be thought of as platforms to articulate and demonstrate our personal and positional leadership and service.
Join facilitator Lauren Burnett for this full-day seminar at which attendees will be invited to speak to the aspects of change that challenge them. They will have the opportunity to talk about their particular change challenges and ‘best practices’. In this format, leaders and workers play both learner and teacher, leader and follower.
This thought-provoking, practical tool-rich program will give attendees the opportunity to leverage the challenge of change to:
- Articulate leadership
- Manage the psychological transition of change and its resistances
- Successfully implement change by honing change competencies
- Support the elasticity to "morph with change" through resiliency strategies designed to increase energy and effectiveness under pressure
