9:30-10:45 Keynote: Rethinking Resource Sharing
Brenda Bailey-Hainer of Colorado

Brenda Bailey-Hainer, Director of Networking and Resource Sharing at the Colorado State Library, will address new models of resource sharing based on changes in technology, libraries and user expectations. Brenda is one of a group of library staff, users, and vendors who recently authored a white paper titled "It's Time to Think Again About Resource Sharing" (PDF) intended to bring together interested members of the library world to look at how libraries will share resources over the coming years. Brenda has been with the State Library since 1999. As part of her responsibilities at the State Library, she oversees the SWIFT statewide interlibrary loan system and AskColorado, a statewide virtual reference collaborative. She has spoken recently at the Denver Interlibrary Loan conference on this topic, and at the ALA Annual Conference. (powerpoint presentation )

Mark will give us an update on the new OCLC resource sharing system. Among the topics will be updates and tips about Worldcat Resource Sharing, OCLC Group Services, statistics, Open Worldcat, and how it's all supposed to work together. Bring all your questions.(powerpoint presentation)

1:00-2:15 Three Libraries: a Discussion of Workflow
Joan Sommer of Marquette University, Erin Czech of UW-Oshkosh, and Jenny Baker of Wisconsin Lutheran College

Three of your colleagues from different sized libraries will discuss how their ILL operations work. Among the topics to be covered are: how ILL fits in with the library's structure, daily workflow, scanning and photocopying, student training, delivery structure and how staff fills in for vacations and illnesses.

Bob Blitzke and Bruce Smith, South Central Library System Delivery Service

Bob and Bruce will present the history and current configurations of this statewide delivery service network that serves all kinds of libraries. Learn more and bring your questions about this continually expanding delivery service that has grown from 4 vehicles to more than 20 in its 15 year history.

3:15-4:00 Tour of SCLS
Come take a tour of the SCLS facility hosted by Bob Blitzke, Bruce Smith and the SCLS staff. Enjoy refreshments and help SCLS celebrate 15 years of providing inter-system delivery service to support Wisconsin resource sharing. Ample parking is available and you will find a map inside your conference folder.
