series of lessons that integrate politics, science, the arts, philosophy,
and economics, the website explores the ongoing development of the
United States—its pre-colonial origins, westward expansion,
social movements, internal conflicts, and modern-day defining moments.

the database offers a graphical, straightforward interface that highlights
up-to-date facts and figures, then leads researchers through the
complexities of both national and worldwide issues by modeling ways
to understand them beyond simplistic pro/con debates.
