Searching WorldCat in Connexion with Jane Richard (recording)
In the previous millenium, searching WorldCat meant memorizing the mysterious numerology of derived searching: "3,2,2,1" and "4,3,1," and "=5,3,1"
The OCLC Connexion interface introduced many more possiblities, such as expanded Boolean operators (and/or/not/with), wildcards, truncation, and precise indexes to the MARC record. In this (free) October 14 session, Jane will tour through some of the options, and offer tips for finding those difficult items. Bring your questions. Both the client and browser will be demonstrated.
